What is the best month to visit Alaska and see wildlife particularly bears.?

I know when the salmon run, the bears are plentiful. I've been there in August and it was very good. What about early September? What is the best month to visit Alaska and see wildlife particularly bears.?
June through late September seems to be the best time to view bears. From what I understand the viewing from one of the Cruise-Tour trains is supposed to be terrific. Have a great time! What is the best month to visit Alaska and see wildlife particularly bears.?
If you want to see bears arrange a visit to Admiralty Island in SE Alaska (near Juneau). It has the highest concentration of bears per mile anywhere in the world.

The number of humans allowed in bear country on admiralty is limited by permit so a tour company should be consulted. Check out http://alaskatours.com/wildlife/bear_vie鈥?/a> for a good starting point.
I have gone to Alaska 22 on cruises %26amp; cruisetours, May - Sept. and have seen plenty of bears no matter when. See more bears on the train ride from Whitter to Denali. Also saw them in Denali in May. alot of it is just a matter of being in the right place at the right time.
It is best to wait until the bears finish their hibernation season. It is never a good idea to disturb them when they are sleeping!
July to see the bears. If you go much sooner than this, they are still hibernating or something. Anyway, the tours to see bears is in July. We went end of May and saw moose, one bear, and of course lots of eagles and salmon.
