How do I get a job protecting wildlife?

I don't know much about animals but is there like a job where I can just shoot people that want to destroy their habitats? How do I get a job protecting wildlife?
be a park rangerHow do I get a job protecting wildlife?
start at your local wildlife project site but i think you will have to do voluntary first
I wish! I work as a wildlife biologist who protects endangered species. The most I get to do is report people destroying habitat and getting them fined, or jailed...but physical contact or ';shooting'; them is out of the question. If you are serious and really want to work protecting wildlife.. go to school and earn a degree in biology, zoology, wildlife management , wildlife studies, or something similar. Apply for jobs with US Fish and Wildlife Service, US Fish and Game, US Forest Service, etc.
You are deputized young man. Feed the animals and help them every chance in life that you get. Evil people should be stopped for the war that they have raged on this planet. You are already capable and willing to help. DO IT !! You do not need governments permission to help. There is so much life that does not call a zoo home. They are out there and waiting for you to help them.
get a masters in zoology.
Become an elf!
A degree in conservation or environmental management would be useful. You could then work for practically any trust or project.
Search the Internet you never know what job you will find. altho i think your asking toooooooooooooooooooooo much, you could end up in prison with all the wild animals there if your not careful.
There are many good conservationist volunteer projects now days you just gotta search the web for something that suits you unfortunately over the past 10 years or so many of these have become like holidays as demand for these is huge and you must pay. Most of these are based in Africa and are very expensive. If that's not for you the best thing to do is volunteer locally even in the dog pounds they need volunteers. Its not to hard to find a placement if your committed. Good luck dude oh and don't shoot anyone. :)
I work at a zoo and a good way to get in is to volunteer first, then you will be well placed when a vacany arises, try the rspb reserve or woodland agency or similar.
This field is pretty complex believe it or not! Nearly every job you can think of has some sort of impact on wildlife and the environment. This means that there are more environmental jobs being created every day. It also means that the field is very complex, and you need to do so research and thinking to figure out what might be the best profession for you.

Otherwise, you can volunteer. Passionate protectors of wildlife are ALWAYS needed to volunteer

Assist with the feeding and care of the animals

Become a foster parent at your home. Training is provided. .

Answer a hotline. As a hotline volunteer you will assist callers in better understanding a situation they have encountered and determining when a rescue is needed. You will check in newpatients as they arrive, and keep records on the animals. Training is provided and staff will be available to assist you at first.

Make yourself available for on-call emergency animal pickup or transfer to release site. Being able to rescue or release an animal back into the wild is a very rewarding experience. Once again training and equipment is provided.

Assist with maintenance or new cage construction. Talented people are always needed in this area.
As long as you're willing to work long hours for low pay then a Park Ranger gig might work. Keep in mind that for many Rangers the biggest part of their job is as trash collector and policeman. The actually working with animals part is often pretty minor.

Oh, and in many areas the local governments have been saving money by using the state, county and local rangers to augment their police force. It's been going on here in Indianapolis for years.
join the park rangers i was thinking about doing that again
Like any profession, qualifications and experience are important. However, there's lots of opportunities to get involved even if you are not qualified.

The best thing for you to do is find somewhere you can do voluntary work. This will help you see if this line of work actually is all you thought it was cracked up to be (don't worry, it will be) and could well soon lead to some paid opportunities.

Oh, if you really did mean all that ';shoot 'em up'; stuff....erm... go to Borneo and gun down some illegal loggers for me, cheers! :)
so you want to put your foot print on the habitat, , be sure and carry a poop bag with you, it the law
just let nature be nature
